I kept a diary during work on my graduate sculpture. My diary was begun in April, 2000, in Barcelona, on the roof of Casa Mila- by Antonio Gaudi- where my idea had been conceived. The diary was finished in June 2002. It was at this time that i returned to my sculture, which had been completed a year earlier, and resumed work on it. My diary was hand-made and hand-written, and folded in a V, with numerous photos, sketches, and postcards. I have described each period of work consciously using simple language. I did not want to create a literary journal.
I wanted my diary to show all the most ordinary aspects concerning the work of a sculptor.
